Effect of front surface engineering on high energy electron, X-ray and heavy ion generation from Relativistic laser interaction with thick high-Z targets
Este estudo investiga o efeito de revestimentos na superfície frontal de alvos de tântalo espessos sob interação com lasers relativísticos, revelando que, embora revestimentos muito espessos tenham reduzido a eficiência na geração de elétrons e raios-X em comparação com alvos nus, eles favoreceram a aceleração de íons pesados e que simulações indicam que revestimentos plásticos mais finos (~1 µm) poderiam otimizar o acoplamento de energia.
