Effect of front surface engineering on high energy electron, X-ray and heavy ion generation from Relativistic laser interaction with thick high-Z targets
Scarlet 施設での実験と粒子シミュレーションにより、高 Z 厚いタングステンターゲットにおける前表面コーティングの密度と厚さ制御が、電子・X 線・重イオンの生成効率に決定的な影響を与えることが示され、特に厚すぎるコーティングは吸収を低下させる一方で、適切な厚さのプラスチックコーティングが裸ターゲットより優れていることが判明しました。
