Concurrent Triple Parasitic Infection (Ctenocephalides canis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, and Toxocara canis) in a Domestic Dog from Bangladesh: Clinical Management and Zoonotic Implications

This case report documents the successful diagnosis and treatment of a rare concurrent triple parasitic infection involving *Ctenocephalides canis*, *Rhipicephalus sanguineus*, and *Toxocara canis* in a dog from Bangladesh. The diagnosis was confirmed through both gross examination and detailed stereomicroscopic morphological identification using the characteristic features of each parasite. Published reports describing concurrent infection with *Ctenocephalides canis*, *Rhipicephalus sanguineus*, and *Toxocara canis* in a single dog remain scarce. The report highlights the clinical efficacy of a regimen where the dog received a single oral combination product containing sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel pamoate, together with supportive care. Sarolaner eliminated fleas and ticks—vectors for dangerous diseases such as ehrlichiosis and Rocky Mountain spotted fever—while moxidectin and pyrantel pamoate treated the intestinal roundworm infection. The study emphasizes the importance of routine screening to mitigate zoonotic risks, as *Toxocara canis* can infect humans when infective eggs from contaminated environments are accidentally ingested, potentially causing visceral or ocular toxocariasis.
