The effect of freeze-drying and storage on lactobacilli strains isolated from the gastrointestinal tract of wild boars using different cryoprotectants
This study demonstrates that skim milk-based cryoprotectants, particularly those supplemented with sucrose for freeze-drying or sodium glutamate for long-term storage, significantly enhance the viability of wild boar-derived lactobacilli strains intended for use as probiotics in animal husbandry.
