Baseline Physico-Chemical Evaluation and Nutrient Diagnostics of Soils Supporting Forage Intensification in Southwestern Uganda
This study characterizes the physico-chemical properties of topsoils in 58 smallholder fodder gardens in Southwestern Uganda, revealing critical deficits in nitrogen and phosphorus, widespread acidity threatening root development, and low organic matter, despite adequate potassium levels and the beneficial structural buffering role of silt.
