This study utilizes Dar–Zarrouk parameters derived from Vertical Electrical Sounding data to characterize the heterogeneous aquifer properties and evaluate groundwater potential in the complex Himalayan foothills of the Tanakpur area, Uttarakhand, India.
This study analyzes 45 years of daily extreme rainfall in Thailand using 75 rain gauges and three gridded datasets to reveal that while MSWEP best reproduces event occurrence, all gridded products tend to underestimate extreme thresholds and overestimate spatial scales, and while ERA5 captures the observed long-term intensification of extreme rainfall frequency, MSWEP fails to do so.

This study demonstrates that while battery electric vehicles consistently offer the lowest life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions across 20 U.S. cities, small and midsize models often achieve negative carbon abatement costs by being both cheaper to own and cleaner than conventional alternatives, making electrification a cost-effective strategy for emissions reduction even for larger vehicles.

This study utilizes a statistical framework and iterative traceback algorithm on 20,693 earthquake records from 1960–2026 to demonstrate that four-point relay seismicity chains occur with a significantly non-random 41.30% completion probability within a 168-hour window, revealing distinct regional susceptibilities and energy attenuation patterns that offer new insights into stress transfer and intermediate-term seismic hazard assessment.

This study integrated the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) with Geographic Information System (GIS) and four machine learning models to assess soil erosion susceptibility in India's Chittar River Basin, finding that the Random Forest model achieved the highest predictive accuracy (AUC = 0.967) for identifying erosion-prone areas to support sustainable watershed management.
