Spatiotemporal Patterns and Trends of the Holiday Climate Index Along the Black Sea Coastal Zone of Türkiye (1950–2025)

This study presents the first comprehensive long-term assessment (1950–2025) of tourism climate suitability along Türkiye's Black Sea coast using a novel weighted Holiday Climate Index, revealing that while summer conditions remain stable, climate change is significantly extending favorable tourism windows into spring and autumn, with improvements being more pronounced in the western provinces than in the humid east.

Disentangling Natural Mineralization from Nitrate Pollution in a Semi-Arid Alluvial Aquifer: A Log-Transformation-Based Multivariate and GIS Framework (Tébessa-Morsott Basin, Algeria)

This study employs a log-transformation-based multivariate and GIS framework on multi-temporal data from the Tébessa-Morsott Basin to successfully distinguish between natural geogenic mineralization driven by carbonate and evaporite dissolution and anthropogenic nitrate pollution caused by agricultural and wastewater inputs in a semi-arid alluvial aquifer.

Deep-learning climate emulator ACE2 reveals a global decrease in tropical cyclone frequency in the 15th Century under an El Niño-like sea surface temperature pattern

Using the deep-learning-based ACE2 emulator, this study reveals that an El Niño-like sea surface temperature pattern in the 15th Century drove a global decrease in tropical cyclone frequency through enhanced vertical wind shear and a drier midtroposphere, thereby demonstrating the utility of deep learning in paleoclimate analysis to improve future projections.

Climate overshoot and irreversibility: Implications for the social cost of greenhouse gases and emission metrics

This study demonstrates that accounting for irreversible climate damages in temperature overshoot pathways significantly increases the social cost of methane and contrail cirrus relative to carbon dioxide before peak warming, thereby challenging conventional emission metrics while lowering post-peak cost estimates due to locked-in damages.

The acoustic environment is a property of place and fine particulate matter a property of time: co-located measurements across Providence, Rhode Island

This study demonstrates that in Providence, Rhode Island, the acoustic environment is primarily determined by static place-based factors like land use and tree canopy, whereas fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is driven by dynamic temporal factors like weather conditions, indicating that these two pollutants should be assessed separately rather than combined into a single environmental quality index.
