Geochemical Assessment and Source Apportionment of Soil Heavy Metals in the Taihe Iron Ore Mining Area, Sichuan, China
This study integrates geochemical analysis, spatial interpolation, and multivariate receptor modeling to assess soil heavy metal contamination in the Taihe Iron Ore Mining Area, revealing that while the region faces low overall ecological risk, copper and zinc enrichment stems primarily from mining activities whereas lead contamination is driven by traffic and residential sources.
