Modeling the Spatial Distribution of Erosion-Driven Soil Organic Carbon Loss in Tropical Watersheds
This study develops and validates a model integrating field measurements, Sentinel-2 satellite data, and SWAT+ simulations to quantify erosion-driven soil organic carbon loss in the tropical Sepaku watershed, revealing that intensified mixed agriculture in the southeastern region causes the most significant carbon depletion due to high anthropogenic pressure.
