Numerical and Experimental Analysis of Stretch Flanging of AISI 304 Stainless Steel Sheet with Complex Geometry: FEM Validation via CMM
This study validates a finite element model of stretch flanging for a complex AISI 304 stainless steel component against CMM measurements, revealing that while the isotropic simulation generally achieves high accuracy, discrepancies in critical edge positions are primarily driven by friction sensitivity rather than material anisotropy.
