The Impact of Late Diagnosis on Health Outcomes Among Women and Children in Low-Income Communities in Northern Nigeria: A Quantitative Feasibility Study
This quantitative feasibility study in Borno State, Nigeria, reveals that late diagnosis of treatable conditions affects nearly 95% of women and children, driven by socioeconomic and health system barriers, and is significantly associated with severe clinical complications, prolonged hospitalization, and doubled medical costs.
