Indigenous Australians’ Lived Experiences of Diet, Nutrition, and Oral Health: A Qualitative Study
This qualitative study of 136 Indigenous Australian adults reveals that dietary choices and oral health outcomes are shaped by a complex interplay of individual awareness, structural barriers, and the enduring impacts of colonization, highlighting the critical need for community-led, culturally safe strategies that prioritize self-determination and food sovereignty to achieve oral health equity.
