Assessment of the neutron fluence during operation of CEMHTI Cyclotron using Monte-Carlo codes - Simβ-AD study

The Simβ-AD study established a methodology for assessing radioactive waste activation at the CEMHTI Cyclotron by validating neutron fluence measurements from activation foils against four Monte-Carlo codes (FLUKA, MCNP6, PHITS, and RayXpert®), demonstrating good agreement between experimental data and simulations using simplified models.

Machine Learning Classification for Irradiated Material Gamma Ray Spectra

This study demonstrates that a robust machine learning framework, featuring a five-step detector-agnostic preprocessing pipeline and dimensionality reduction, achieves perfect classification accuracy for both single-isotope and complex irradiated material gamma-ray spectra across NaI(Tl), CZT, and HPGe detectors, with only minor performance drops observed in specific high-resolution scenarios.

Dispersion Characteristics of Transverse Surface Waves in a Functionally Graded Piezoelectric Half-Space with a Triple Dielectric Overlayer System: Effects of Material Ordering, Substrate Grading, and Thickness Allocation

This study presents an exact analytical formulation for transverse surface waves in a functionally graded piezoelectric half-space with a triple dielectric overlayer, revealing how material ordering, substrate grading, and thickness allocation serve as independent design parameters to precisely tailor wave dispersion and electromechanical coupling characteristics.

Composition independent neutron scattering corrections for quantitative imaging

This paper introduces a dual-detector setup that enables composition-independent neutron scatter correction, transforming neutron tomography from a qualitative visualization tool into a quantitative analysis method for heterogeneous, dynamic systems containing strong scatterers by reducing systematic errors in concentration measurements from 17% to 2% without requiring sample-dependent calibration.

Exploration of Stability for SnTl Liquid Alloys at Various Temperatures

This study employs the quasi-lattice theory, combined with Butler and Moelwyn-Hughes models, to predict the thermodynamic, structural, surface, and transport properties of molten Sn-Tl alloys, revealing that their stability and segregation decrease with rising temperature while suggesting a potential transition from segregation to ordering at approximately 1914.15 K.
