Comparative Unfolding of the Trp-cage Miniprotein in Anionic and Cationic Surfactants
Molekulardynamiksimulationen zeigen, dass anionische SDS-Surfaktanten das kationische Trp-cage-Protein durch hydrophobe Wechselwirkungen destabilisieren und entfalten, während kationische CTAB-Surfaktanten bei hohen Konzentrationen aufgrund elektrostatischer Abstoßung und einer strukturierten hydrophoben Umgebung teilweise vor der thermischen Denaturierung schützen.
