Potato Peel Extract as an ecologically conscious Inhibitor for corrosion of A283 Carbon Steel in Hydrochloric Acid: Experimental and Theoretical Perspectives
This study demonstrates that potato peel extract acts as an effective, eco-friendly mixed-type corrosion inhibitor for A283 carbon steel in hydrochloric acid by forming a protective adsorbed film, with its performance validated through comprehensive experimental characterization and theoretical analysis identifying petunidin and chlorogenic acid as the primary active constituents.
