Oyster shell-derived adsorbent for simultaneous Pb²⁺ and Hg²⁺ removal: a thermochemical modification approach
This study demonstrates that a thermochemically modified oyster shell biosorbent (CMOS) is an effective, sustainable, and reusable material for the simultaneous removal of Pb²⁺ and Hg²⁺ from aqueous solutions, achieving high adsorption capacities and selectivity through chemisorption mechanisms.
