Pyruvic Acid-Modified Chitosan Nanocomposite Films Reinforced with ZnO and ZnO–MgO Nanoparticles: Structural, Thermal, Antimicrobial, and Active Packaging Properties
This study demonstrates that pyruvic acid-modified chitosan films reinforced with ZnO–MgO nanoparticles exhibit superior thermal, mechanical, barrier, and antimicrobial properties, effectively extending the shelf life of strawberries and serving as a promising sustainable material for active food packaging.
