Hydrochemical Characteristics, Driving Mechanisms, and Water Transformation Relationships in Lake Chagan, Songnen Plain
This study elucidates the hydrochemical characteristics and water transformation pathways in Lake Chagan, revealing a complex cycle where precipitation infiltrates and interacts with rocks in shallow groundwater before undergoing evaporative concentration and ion exchange in the lake, ultimately contributing to river water through a process that decouples isotopic evaporation signals from baseflow-dominated hydrochemistry.
