Overcoming Topographical Barriers in Heritage Tourism: A Non-invasive Digital Twin and XR Framework for Inclusive Accessibility
This study proposes and validates a non-invasive "Scan-to-Service" framework integrating LiDAR, Digital Twin, and XR technologies to overcome topographical barriers in heritage tourism, demonstrating through a Taipei case study that such virtual systems significantly enhance accessibility for elderly and mobility-impaired users while ensuring economic sustainability.
