This retrospective cohort study of over 5,000 traffic crash patients in Taiwan reveals that geographic administrative boundaries (specifically New Taipei City versus Taipei City) serve as a potent independent predictor of major trauma severity, even after controlling for physiological status, thereby highlighting the need for region-specific triage protocols that prioritize location and age over traditional physiological triggers.
