Outcome Analysis of Conservative Management With Pigtail Catheter Insertion in Intraperitoneal Rupture of Liver Abscess: A Prospective Observational Cohort Study
This prospective observational cohort study of 35 patients demonstrates that conservative management using ultrasound-guided pigtail catheter drainage combined with intravenous antibiotics is a highly effective, low-mortality alternative to exploratory laparotomy for treating intraperitoneal rupture of liver abscesses, achieving a 91% clinical success rate.
