Longitudinal Study on the Effects of Chronotype and Social Jetlag on Depressive Symptoms in Shift Nurses
This 2024–2025 longitudinal study of 202 shift nurses in Chengdu found that while baseline eveningness chronotype significantly predicts future depressive symptoms, social jetlag does not independently contribute to them, suggesting that mental health interventions should prioritize individual chronotype differences.
