Sick Child Feeding Practice and Associated Factors Among Mothers With Sick Children Less Than 24 Months of Age in Debre Tabor Regiopolitan City, Northwest Ethiopia.(Institutional Cross-sectional Mixed Method)
This institutional cross-sectional mixed-method study conducted in Debre Tabor, Northwest Ethiopia, reveals that only 61.4% of mothers practice good feeding for sick children under 24 months, a behavior significantly influenced by maternal education, pregnancy intention, and access to antenatal/postnatal care and counseling, while qualitative findings highlight barriers such as loss of appetite and food shortages.
