Stabilization Mechanism and Rheological Behavior of Temperature- and Salinity-Resistant Gels Based on AM/AMPS Polymers
This study investigates the stabilization mechanisms and rheological behaviors of AM/AMPS-based gels with varying AMPS content, revealing that while higher AMPS content (60%) enhances thermal stability, lower AMPS content (30%) yields stronger plugging pressure due to a more brittle rheological profile, thereby providing critical insights for optimizing gel properties for high-temperature, high-salinity oilfield water shutoff applications.
