The Posterior Cerebellum’s Role in Feeling Moved by Visual Art: A Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation Approach
This study investigates the role of the posterior cerebellum in aesthetic experiences by using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to reveal that anodal stimulation modulates feelings of being moved by art in complex ways, specifically increasing emotional engagement for individuals with low art experience and low-to-medium empathy while decreasing it for those with high art experience.
