Longitudinal patterns of adverse childhood experiences and ‘NEET’ (Not in Education, Employment or Training) status in young adulthood
This longitudinal study of 8,851 UK participants reveals that specific patterns of adverse childhood experiences, particularly early abuse combined with parental mental health issues and persistent parental mental health problems, are significantly associated with increased odds of persistent 'NEET' (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) status in young adulthood, even after adjusting for socioeconomic factors.
