Who Authors the Self-Organising City? Distributed Authorship and Accountability in Urban Design Theory
This paper argues that while urban design theory has rightly shifted from master planning to self-organization, it must recover accountability by recognizing that authorship is distributed among agents with unequal weights, requiring a diagnostic framework that distinguishes configurations based on the concentration of agency rather than legal status.
