Nonlinear climatic regulation of flowering phenology in sugarcane wild relatives revealed through mixed- effects and survival modelling
This study reveals that flowering phenology in sugarcane wild relatives is governed by nonlinear climatic regulation, where relative humidity, rainfall, and solar radiation act as dominant predictors of flowering initiation, with environmental variability exerting a significantly stronger influence than genotypic differences.
