Asking the Pros - an assessment of hydroponics professionals’ attitudes towards aquaponics food production

A worldwide survey of 118 hydroponics professionals reveals that while perceived sustainability positively influences their attitude toward aquaponics, negative economic prospects are the primary barrier to adoption, suggesting that future efforts should prioritize economic and legislative improvements over further technical management research.

Genomic parameters reveal favorable genetic associations among carcass traits in Curraleiro Pé-Duro cattle.

This study demonstrates that Curraleiro Pé-Duro cattle possess moderate-to-high heritabilities for carcass and body size traits and exhibit a unique, favorable positive genetic correlation between ribeye area and subcutaneous fat thickness, suggesting that simultaneous genetic improvement in muscling and fat deposition is achievable without compromising energy reserves.

Modelling of variability and relationships of plant parameters for sustainability of groundnut pod and haulm yield under APCNF and ICM in arid alfisolsY

This study evaluates the sustainability of groundnut pod and haulm yields under arid alfisols by comparing Integrated Crop Management (ICM) and Andhra Pradesh Cashew Nut Farming (APCNF) systems, revealing that while ICM significantly outperforms APCNF in overall yield and biomass production, APCNF offers superior harvest efficiency, with regression models and sustainability indices identifying specific plant parameters and treatment combinations (T3 for ICM, T12 for APCNF) that optimize productivity in these conditions.
