Spatio-Temporal Analysis of the Pattern of Land use and Land Cover Changes among the Sub-Basins in the White Volta Basin
This study utilizes Landsat imagery and random forest analysis to quantify spatio-temporal land use and land cover changes in the White Volta Basin from 1995 to 2023, identifying agricultural expansion, urbanization, and mining as primary drivers of degradation that vary significantly across sub-basins, with Kulpawn being the most severely affected and Gambaga the least.
