Post-discharge survival and incomplete postnatal care continuum among newborns discharged from hospital-based newborn care in Ethiopia: a prospective cohort study
This prospective cohort study of 896 newborns in Ethiopia found that while post-discharge survival rates were high, the completion of the full postnatal care continuum remained low, with key predictors for care utilization including longer facility stays, maternal awareness of danger signs, and knowledge of follow-up timing.
