Magnitude and determinants of leprosy-related stigma among persons affected by leprosy and community contacts in southern Benin: a mixed-methods study
This mixed-methods study in southern Benin reveals a substantial burden of leprosy-related stigma among both affected individuals and community contacts, identifying active screening, late diagnosis, and rural residence as key determinants that necessitate targeted, culturally sensitive interventions to mitigate psychosocial consequences.
