Comparison of level of Engagement, Empathy, and Motivation among 2nd year MBBS students with early and conventional clinical exposure, A comparative cross-sectional study
This comparative cross-sectional study of 423 second-year MBBS students in Pakistan found that those with early clinical exposure demonstrated significantly higher academic engagement and empathy than their peers in traditional curricula, though no difference in motivation was observed, suggesting that while early clinical exposure is beneficial, it should be integrated with other strategies to maximize its impact.
