Risk of Diabetic Ketoacidosis with Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
This systematic review and meta-analysis of 32 studies involving over 327,000 users indicates that while diabetic ketoacidosis is an uncommon complication of Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists overall (0.7%), the risk is significantly higher in patients with type 1 diabetes (2.0%) compared to those with type 2 diabetes (0.3%).
