Exploring Self-Perception Bias of Fall Risk and Its Influencing Factors in Older Adults
This cross-sectional study of 8,195 older adults reveals that approximately 31% exhibit a discrepancy between their subjective and objective fall risk, with overestimation linked to female gender and psychological distress, while underestimation is associated with male gender and poorer physical mobility, highlighting the need for targeted, multidimensional fall prevention interventions.
