Effect of population-wide repeated dihydroartemisinin–piperaquine mass drug administration in Ghana: a cluster-randomised trial
This cluster-randomised trial in Ghana demonstrates that five rounds of community-wide dihydroartemisinin–piperaquine mass drug administration significantly reduced malaria parasite prevalence by 94%, lowered reinfection risk, and improved haemoglobin outcomes in a moderate-to-high transmission setting without serious adverse events.
