Evaluation of Radiotherapy-Related Oral Complications and Functional Outcomes in Patients with Oral Cavity Carcinoma
This prospective study of 28 oral cavity cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy found that while mucositis is the most common complication, the development of oral adverse effects appears to be driven by multifactorial mechanisms rather than being solely dependent on radiation dose, volume, or tumor localization, underscoring the need for multidisciplinary oral management.
