Case Report: Occult Pheochromocytoma Masquerading as Takotsubo Syndrome: A Diagnostic Pitfall and Perioperative Challenge
This case report highlights a diagnostic pitfall where an occult pheochromocytoma, initially masked by near-normal biochemical markers and misdiagnosed as Takotsubo syndrome, was confirmed by a sudden intraoperative hypertensive crisis and subsequently resolved following surgical resection.
