Effects of Internal Service Quality on Nurses' Performance: Mediating Role of Employees' Well-Being: A Case of Debre Tabor Hospital, Ethiopia

This study demonstrates that at Debre Tabor Hospital in Ethiopia, internal service quality significantly enhances nurses' performance both directly and indirectly by improving their employee well-being, with reliability, assurance, and tangibles identified as key drivers and psychological well-being as the strongest mediating factor.

A systems thinking approach to improve participatory processes in small-scale fisheries management

This paper presents a practical decision-support framework that integrates participatory systems mapping with network analysis to help stakeholders in data-poor small-scale octopus fisheries in Peru and Chile identify key sustainability goals, evaluate intervention strategies, and prioritize monitoring indicators for adaptive management.

In vivo cortical neuron-astroglial functional coupling strengthens with acute stress but is impaired by chronic stress in mice

Using dual-color in vivo fiber photometry in mice, this study reveals that while acute and repeated stress strengthen cortical neuron-astroglial functional coupling as an adaptive mechanism, chronic stress reverses this trajectory by sensitizing neuronal reactivity while blunting astroglial responses, leading to impaired coupling that coincides with the onset of depression-like behavioral deficits.

In Vivo Biocompatibility of Three Calcium Silicate-Based Pulp-Capping Materials: Subcutaneous Tissue Inflammation and IL-6 Immunoexpression in a Rat Model

This study evaluates the in vivo biocompatibility of three calcium silicate-based pulp-capping materials in rats, finding that while all induced generally acceptable tissue responses, EndoCem MTA Premixed uniquely exhibited persistent edema and sustained IL-6 expression compared to Biodentine and TheraCal PT.

Liquid-mediated mechanosynthesis of Zn-BDC coordination polymers via water- and DMF-assisted ball milling

This study demonstrates that the phase-selective mechanosynthesis of Zn-BDC coordination polymers via liquid-assisted ball milling is governed by the specific liquid additive used, where water yields a 1D structure while DMF or optimized water-DMF mixtures selectively produce the 2D metal-organic framework MOF-2 with gas adsorption properties comparable to solution-synthesized samples.

Interactive Effects of Seed Priming and Salinity Stress on Growth, Yield, and Nutrient Dynamics in Wheat Genotypes (Triticum aestivum L.)

A field experiment in Bangladesh demonstrates that combining the salt-tolerant wheat genotype ESWYT 5 with seed priming using 5% PEG-6000 significantly mitigates the detrimental effects of salinity stress, thereby substantially improving grain yield and nutrient dynamics compared to unprimed controls and less tolerant varieties.

Digital Generating Method For Pure-Rolling Spiral Bevel Gears Based On Indexable YW-Type Milling Cutter

This paper proposes a digital generating method for pure-rolling contact logarithmic spiral bevel gears using a fixed, rotating YW-type indexable milling cutter on five-axis CNC machines, which integrates parabolic transmission error modification to achieve high-precision, low-noise machining with minimal deviation and improved contact characteristics.

The influence of negative life events on psychological resilience and theory of mind in adolescents: evidence from Gaussian graphical modeling and Bayesian network analysis

This study of 1,191 Chinese adolescents utilizes Gaussian graphical modeling and Bayesian network analysis to reveal that negative life events and psychological resilience form a dynamically interacting, directionally asymmetric system where punishment experiences and resilience strength are central nodes, while theory of mind operates largely independently of this stress-adaptation network.

Intensive group treatment for children with selective mutism: A pilot multiple-baseline study

This pilot multiple-baseline study of sixteen German children with selective mutism demonstrates that an intensive group intervention based on Parent-Child-Interaction Therapy principles significantly reduces symptom severity and increases remission rates, providing preliminary support for its effectiveness.
