Carex ensiformis (C. subg. Siderosticta), a new species from southern China based on morphological and molecular evidence

Based on combined morphological and molecular evidence, this study describes *Carex ensiformis* as a new species from southern China belonging to the subgenus *Siderosticta*, distinguishing it from the similar *C. damiaoshanensis* through specific differences in nutlet micromorphology, inflorescence structure, and genetic markers.
