Beyond food provision: a qualitative study of older adults’ participation and sustained engagement in community meal assistance services based on Andersen’s Behavioural Model
Guided by Andersen's Behavioural Model, this qualitative study of 16 older adults in Guangxi, China, reveals that community meal assistance services extend beyond nutritional support to foster social participation and well-being, with continued engagement driven by a complex interplay of lifestyle changes, environmental resources, and evolving multidimensional needs.
