Academic Engagement in Private Universities of Bangladesh: Moderating the Relationship Between Psychological Capital and Student Performance

Based on a study of 200 undergraduate students across five private universities in Dhaka, this paper demonstrates that academic engagement significantly mediates the positive relationship between psychological capital (self-efficacy, optimism, resilience, and hope) and student performance, suggesting that higher education policies should foster both psychological resources and engagement to advance quality education.
